June 21st, 2008 categories: Alpharetta, Milton, Month to Month
The City of Milton, in the state of Georgia, is holding its first “Citizen Parade” for the July 4th holiday. Any Milton resident looking to show off city pride on Independence Day can head down to Milton City Hall for a little fun and camaraderie.
The plans are still being finalized, but the basic idea is to let anyone who has ever wanted to be in a parade to simply join in on the march, fun and festivities. That means kids, parents, singles, couples and even pets. All you need is the desire to march and have city pride. You don’t even need a prop, just show up says Linda Blow, volunteer coordinator for the city and parade planner.
The parade route will begin at the corner of Deerfield and Webb at 10 A.M., July 4th
and will proceed along Deerfield Parkway.Plans are also in the works for face painting,
patriotic activities and other fun and games. See you there!
